We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Architect to join our team at Cognizant in Edinburgh. This is a senior-level position within the Design & Architecture industry, specifically focusing on the Banking & Financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of complex banking and financial systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and designers.
• Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across all projects.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and present design solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on the Banking & Financial sector.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex design projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in design software and tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based architectures and technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the Banking & Financial sector.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Certification in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
