Chief Design Officer (CDO)

Avanade is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Design Officer (CDO) to join our executive team in Frankfurt. As a leader in the Design & Architecture industry, you will drive the creative direction and innovation of our healthcare and medical solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of design excellence and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary design team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
• Develop and implement design strategies that align with Avanade’s business goals and enhance our healthcare and medical offerings.
• Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring all projects meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and engineering, to integrate design thinking into all aspects of the business.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Avanade remains at the forefront of design innovation.
• Represent Avanade at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing our design capabilities and thought leadership.
• Mentor and develop design talent within the organization, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior design leadership role, preferably within the healthcare and medical industry.
• Proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions that drive business success.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and achievements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing and mentoring design teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
