Chief Information and Communications Officer (CICO)

BGC, a leading company in the IT & Communication industry based in Odense, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Information and Communications Officer (CICO) to join our executive team. The CICO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our information and communication technologies, ensuring alignment with our business goals and driving innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall IT and communication strategy in alignment with BGC’s business objectives.
• Lead and manage the IT and communications departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure and communication systems.
• Ensure data security, network access, and backup systems are robust and reliable.
• Collaborate with other executives to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions and services.
• Develop and manage the IT and communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection and cybersecurity.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the IT and communications teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT and communication strategies.
• Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001.
