BGC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT & Communications Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Iceland. This senior-level position is pivotal in driving the design, implementation, and optimization of our IT and communication systems, ensuring they align with our business goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive IT and communication solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve system performance, security, and scalability.
• Oversee the implementation of IT and communication projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and IT staff.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in IT and communications.
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and communications architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT and communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
