BGC is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President of Mining and Energy Operations to join our team in Copenhagen. This senior-level position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in the Mining & Energy industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale operations, driving innovation, and ensuring sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all mining and energy operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in the mining and energy sectors.
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other senior executives to align operations with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions and partnerships.
• Ensure the implementation of sustainable practices and technologies to minimize environmental impact.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
• Represent BGC in industry forums, conferences, and with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Mining & Energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and driving strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainable practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in financial management and budget oversight.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Danish is a plus.
