This senior-level position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the mining and energy industries, as well as a proven track record of driving operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all mining and energy operations, ensuring alignment with AWS’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and leverage AWS technologies in mining and energy operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining and energy industries, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and driving strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of AWS technologies and their applications in the mining and energy sectors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
