Senior Accounting Manager

Covtech, a leading technology company based in Aarhus, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive financial excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and drive financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
