Microsoft is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Construction Officer (CCO) to lead our construction projects in Stuttgart. This executive-level position requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in the construction industry, capable of driving large-scale projects from inception to completion while ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for construction projects, aligning with Microsoft’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant tools.
