BGC is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President of Mining and Energy Operations to join our team in London. This senior-level position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in the Mining & Energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our mining and energy operations, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for mining and energy operations to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Oversee the management of mining and energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and environmental standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other senior executives to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mining and energy operations.
• Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.
• Prepare and present reports to the executive team and board of directors on the performance of mining and energy operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining and energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mining and energy projects.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with financial management and budgeting.
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant technologies.
