Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at AWS in Frankfurt. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the accounting industry, specifically within the banking and financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with audits and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or QuickBooks
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the banking and financial sector
