Anchor, a leading organization in the Sport & Recreation industry, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Sports and Recreation Officer to join our executive team in Berlin. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our sports and recreation programs, ensuring they align with our mission to promote active and healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for sports and recreation programs that align with Anchor’s overall mission and goals.
• Oversee the management and coordination of all sports and recreation activities, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sports and recreation professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other executive team members to integrate sports and recreation initiatives with broader organizational strategies.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, including sports clubs, community groups, and educational institutions.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improvements.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance program offerings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sports and recreation management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sports and recreation programs.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Experience managing budgets and financial resources effectively.
