BGC is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team in Iceland. As a leader in the accounting industry, BGC is dedicated to providing top-tier financial services and solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial success in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
• Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive business performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in the accounting industry is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Icelandic is a plus.
