Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

DXC Technology is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to join our executive team in Iceland. The CLO will play a critical role in overseeing all legal aspects of the business, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and providing strategic legal guidance to support our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal department, providing direction and oversight to a team of legal professionals.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support DXC’s business objectives and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly in the banking and financial sector.
• Advise the executive team on legal matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and litigation.
• Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts and agreements.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide proactive legal advice.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
• Represent DXC in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other formal settings as required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Iceland.
• Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with a strong background in the banking and financial sector.
• Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice at the executive level.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a high-performing legal team.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
