Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)

Description

Apple is seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) to join our executive team in Frankfurt. This role is pivotal in driving our sustainability initiatives within the Mining & Energy industry, ensuring that our operations align with our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with Apple’s corporate goals and values.
• Lead cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all aspects of our Mining & Energy operations.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners, to promote sustainable practices and policies.
• Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Drive innovation in sustainable technologies and practices within the Mining & Energy sector.
• Advocate for sustainable resource management and energy efficiency across all levels of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to sustainability teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability leadership roles, preferably within the Mining & Energy industry.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
